System Requirements

ItemRequirement
Operating SystemWindows 10/11 or macOS
NetworkHost and robots on the same WiFi
RobotPowered on; on the same WiFi as the host

Connection

In WiFi mode, simply connect the host and the robots to the same WiFi network. The robot IP is set on the robot itself; enter that IP when adding the robot.

Core requirement: same subnet

The host and robots must share a subnet (the first three IP octets match) to communicate.

2. Before You Start

Most WiFi connection issues come from the network not being reachable. Complete these checks in order.

2.1 Checklist

  1. Confirm the robot is powered on and has its own WiFi configured.
  2. Confirm the host is on the same WiFi as the robot.
  3. Obtain the robot's IP address and command port (default 23456).

2.2 Connectivity Test

Before adding a robot, verify reachability with the system ping command.

Windows

  1. Press Win, type cmd, open Command Prompt.
  2. Run ping <robot IP> (e.g. ping 192.168.1.101).
  3. "Reply from …" = reachable; "Request timed out" = unreachable.

macOS

  1. Open Terminal (Launchpad → Others → Terminal).
  2. Run ping <robot IP>.
  3. 64 bytes from … = reachable; press Control+C to stop.
Warning: ping unreachable

Confirm the host and robot are truly on the same WiFi/subnet. Some public or corporate WiFi isolates clients (AP isolation) — switch networks if so.

3. Interface

In WiFi mode the interface consists of a top mode bar, a left robot list, and a right control area:

+ Add
✕ Delete
⟳ Test

Top mode barBrand name; currently in WiFi control mode; on the right are ☀️/🌙 light/dark theme and 中/EN language toggles.
Left robot listManage robots: add, delete, test. Each card shows name, IP, status, latency, and battery.
Right control areaSingle/Multi switch → action buttons → emergency grid → dance buttons, top to bottom.
Order of operations

Add robots on the left and confirm they are "online" first, then choose single/multi targets on the right, then click an action or dance button to dispatch. The splitter between the two sides is draggable.

4. Robot Management

Manage controlled robots in the left list. All subsequent actions target robots that are "online".

4.1 Add a robot

  1. Click Add.
  2. In the dialog, enter the robot name, IP address, and port (default 23456).
  3. The robot card appears in the list and auto-connects.

4.2 Delete a robot

  1. Click Delete.
  2. In the dialog, check the robot(s) to remove.
  3. Confirm; the robot is removed from the list (the robot itself is unaffected).

4.3 Test connection

Click Test to send a latency probe to online robots and refresh every card's latency (ms) and battery (%).

4.4 Robot card

IP : PortConnection target, e.g. 192.168.1.101:23456.
Status dot● green online, ○ gray offline.
LatencyRound-trip time (ms); -- when not tested.
BatteryBattery percentage (%).
Auto-reconnect

On disconnect the host auto-reconnects; no manual action is needed. The card status recovers once the robot is back online.

5. Single / Multi Control

The top of the right side decides who receives commands. The app starts in multi-control mode with all selected by default.

Single (choose one)
Multi (check several)
Select All

MultiCheck multiple; "Select All" availableSends to all selected robots simultaneously
SingleRadio-select oneAll actions affect only that one robot
  1. Click Switch to Multi or Switch to Single.
  2. In multi mode, check target robots, or check "Select All".
  3. Action / dance buttons now dispatch to the current selection.
Note: simultaneous dispatch

In multi mode the command is sent to all selected robots at once (each robot has its own independent connection), so group motions start in sync.

6. Control Actions

The action area provides 9 action buttons; clicking one dispatches it to the current single/multi selection.

ButtonStyleFunction
E-StopE-StopEmergency stop the current motion
WalkWalkSwitch to walking mode
RunRunReserved button, no function yet
Start ProgramStartSelect and start the current program
Ready PoseReadyReturn to the ready pose
Get UpGet UpStand up from the ground
Lie DownLie DownLie down
Squat DownSquat DownSquat down
Stand from SquatStand UpStand up from a squat
Warning: E-Stop first

If anything goes wrong, click E-Stop immediately. It aborts the current motion at once and is the most reliable safety action.

7. Emergency

The emergency area shows all robots in a grid, one column per robot, with per-robot quick controls.

RowContent
Row 1Robot name.
Row 2That robot's Walk button.
Row 3That robot's E-Stop button.

Use the "Enable" checkbox to turn the whole emergency area on or off.

Independent of single/multi

The emergency area is unaffected by the single/multi mode above — each button in the grid controls exactly the robot in its column, handy for quickly intervening on a single robot during group control.

8. Dance Group-Control

Dance buttons are laid out in a flow; each button is one dance. The dance list is preset from the factory with all dances configured; clicking a button sends that dance command to the current single/multi selection.

Select robots → Click dance button → Dance dispatched

Play a dance

  1. Select target robots via single/multi.
  2. Click the dance button.
  3. The robot performs that dance.
Note

The dance list is preset. To add or adjust dances, contact the JuShen team.

9. FAQ

Q1: Robot shows offline?

Q2: Latency shows --?

The robot did not reply within the timeout — usually offline or packet loss. Troubleshoot the network per Q1.

Q3: How do I make all robots act at once?

  1. Ensure multi-control mode (top shows "Multi"; otherwise click "Switch to Multi").
  2. Check "Select All".
  3. Click the desired action or dance button.

Q4: How do I switch theme or language?

Use ☀️ / 🌙 on the right of the top bar for light/dark theme, and "中 / EN" for language.

Q5: An added robot never comes online?
